About the Pennsylvania Convention Center and your show freight
The Pennsylvania Convention Center is in Center City Philadelphia, where the streets are tight, and a loading dock can have limited room. A truck that is early, late or the wrong size can run into trouble, so confirm the vehicle type and window with the show before booking.
Philadelphia sits within reach of our Edison, NJ location and our crews in Richmond, VA, which helps for exhibits that ship from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Freight from the rest of the country moves on our nationwide network.
Advance warehouse or direct-to-show in Philadelphia
The advance warehouse is a sensible choice when the booth is large, or the loading approach is tight, because freight is handled in the show process rather than at a single dock appointment. Direct-to-show is a better fit for a smaller exhibit that is ready close to the date and can be delivered at its assigned time.
Many Philadelphia exhibitors ship to the show from Pennsylvania warehouses, including in the Lehigh Valley. If your exhibit is stored there, tell us the address and we will pick it up and plan the drive into the city.
Planning tips for Philadelphia shows
- Confirm truck size and delivery window with the show before you book
- Tell us if the exhibit is stored in a warehouse outside the city
- Allow for city traffic on move-in and move-out days
- Ask for a liftgate if your docks or pickup point lack a loading dock
