Auto Parts Delivery for Engines, Body Panels and Bulky Car Parts
Engines, transmissions, hoods and windshields do not fit in a parcel box. Professional Moving Solutions provides last mile delivery for bulky car parts, blanket wrapped or crated, to shops, dealerships and home garages nationwide.

Who we deliver auto parts for
Parts distributors and wholesalers use us for the big pieces their regular carriers will not take. Online parts sellers use us to get engines and panels to buyers at home. Dealership parts departments, collision and body shops, salvage yards and auto recyclers, restoration and performance shops, and fleet maintenance shops all ship and receive parts that need a careful two-person crew.
Bulky car parts we deliver
- Engines and crate engines
- Transmissions
- Axles and differentials
- Hoods, doors, fenders and bumpers
- Truck beds and caps
- Windshields and glass
- Wheel and tire sets
- Exhaust systems
- Seats and interior sets
Why bulky parts need a last mile carrier
Parcel carriers turn away oversize and heavy parts. Parcel networks are built for boxes, not for an engine on a pallet or a painted hood. Painted panels scratch, thin sheet metal dents and glass breaks. Engines and transmissions have to be secured to a pallet or crated so they cannot shift.
The delivery end is its own problem. Many parts go to a home garage or a busy shop bay with no loading dock and no forklift. A last mile crew handles the part by hand, carries it to where it is needed and checks it with you before leaving.
Delivery to shops, dealerships and homes
We deliver at the service level you need: curbside, threshold, or room of choice, which for car parts usually means into the garage or the shop bay. Two-person crews carry and set each piece, call ahead to schedule, inspect the part with you at delivery and take photo proof of delivery and a signature. Packaging and debris can leave with us.
Blanket wrap for panels, crates for heavy parts
Painted and finished panels travel blanket wrapped with the edges and corners protected, so nothing rubs in transit. Engines, transmissions and axles travel crated or palletized and strapped down. If a part needs it, we can build a custom crate.
Storage for staged inventory
Distributors and sellers can stage inventory in our Richmond, VA, commercial storage, from one pallet up to 100 pallets, and we also have a location in Edison, NJ. We hold parts and deliver them on the dates you schedule.
Returns and core returns
Wrong parts, damaged parts and cores all have to go back. We pick them up from the shop or the buyer and return them to your warehouse. See reverse logistics for more.
How to prepare parts for shipping
- Drain all fluids from engines, transmissions and differentials, and cap the openings
- Strap heavy parts to a pallet or crate them
- Wrap panel edges and corners
- Label each piece
- Send us dimensions, weights and photos
Items with shipping restrictions
Airbags, batteries, pressurized struts and anything still holding fluid have shipping restrictions. Seats with built-in airbags fall under the same restrictions. Ask us before booking so we can tell you how they need to be handled, or whether they need to ship another way.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to ship an engine or transmission?
It depends on the weight, the distance and the service level, whether curbside, threshold or room of choice. Send us the dimensions, weights and photos, along with how the part is packed, for a free quote.
Can you deliver car parts to a house?
Yes. We deliver curbside, to the threshold or into the garage. A two-person crew carries the part by hand, so a home with no loading dock or forklift is not a problem, and we call ahead to schedule.
How do you keep body panels from getting damaged?
Painted and finished panels travel blanket wrapped with the edges and corners protected, so nothing rubs in transit. A two-person crew carries each panel, and we inspect it with you at delivery before you sign.
Can you pick up from a salvage yard or a private seller?
Yes. Tell us how the part is packed and whether there is a forklift at pickup, and we plan the crew for it. Engines and transmissions should be drained, capped and strapped to a pallet or crated before pickup.
Do you handle returns and cores?
Yes. We pick up wrong parts, damaged parts and cores from the shop or the buyer and return them to your warehouse. See reverse logistics for more.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes. We deliver auto parts nationwide to shops, dealerships and homes. Distributors and sellers can also stage inventory in our Richmond, VA, commercial storage, and we deliver it on the dates you schedule.
How should I pack an engine or transmission for delivery?
Drain all fluids and cap the openings. Then strap it to a pallet or crate it so it cannot shift, label it, and send us the dimensions, weights and photos. If a part needs it, we can build a custom crate.
Can you deliver airbags, batteries or struts?
Airbags, batteries, pressurized struts and anything still holding fluid have shipping restrictions, and seats with built-in airbags fall under the same restrictions. Ask us before booking so we can tell you how they need to be handled, or whether they need to ship another way.
