Lab and Life Sciences Equipment Delivery
Lab equipment is expensive, sensitive and often hard to replace. Freezers need to stay upright, instruments do not like shocks, and benches have to fit through doors that were not built for them. Professional Moving Solutions delivers lab and life sciences equipment with careful handling, inside delivery and placement in the room, and removes the packaging and old units. Calibration, decontamination certification and hookups stay with your team or vendor.
What lab equipment we deliver
- Ultra-low and standard laboratory freezers and refrigerators
- Centrifuges, incubators and shakers
- Lab benches, casework, fume hoods and storage
- Biosafety cabinets and clean air equipment
- Analytical instruments and microscopes
- Autoclaves, washers and other floor-standing equipment
Careful handling for sensitive equipment
Instruments are moved in blankets or crates, secured on air-ride equipment and handled with the right dollies and lift equipment. Crews keep freezers, refrigerators and other equipment in the orientation the manufacturer calls for. Tell us when you request the quote which items must stay upright, which are heavy for their size, and whether the manufacturer provides handling instructions.
Many freezers need to stand for a period after delivery before they are powered on. That is a decision for your team and the manufacturer’s guidance. We deliver, place and leave the equipment ready, and we do not power it on.
Inside delivery and placement in the lab
Labs are often on upper floors of research buildings or inside secure campuses, with reserved freight elevators, dock schedules and strict entry procedures. We ask for those details before the delivery is scheduled and plan the crew, the truck and the timing around them.
Once inside, the crew carries the equipment to the room, sets it where you mark and checks the position against your plan. Benches and casework are placed in their layout. We remove packaging, pallets and crating so the lab is clear for your team.
Delivery for new labs, expansions and moves
A new lab or an expansion usually involves equipment arriving from several vendors over several weeks. Our storage lets you receive it all in one place, check it against the order and release it to the building when the space is ready. That avoids crates piling up in a corridor and shortens the window when the dock is busy.
For relocations, we can pick up equipment from one lab, move it and place it in the new one. For multi-site organizations, our warehousing and rollouts service can coordinate deliveries to several locations.
What stays with your team or vendor
We do not decontaminate, certify, calibrate, validate or power on lab equipment, and we do not connect gas, water, electrical or data lines. Where a building or vendor requires a decontamination certificate for used equipment, that must be provided by your team before pickup. We plan the delivery so your technician can start the moment the equipment is in position.
Removing old equipment
When you are replacing a freezer, bench or instrument, we can haul the old unit away on the same visit. Tell us what is coming out, how heavy it is and whether it is attached to the building, so we plan the truck space.
