Brownstones, lofts and the Brooklyn waterfront

In Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant, brownstones often mean a stoop, a narrow vestibule and a steep staircase between the truck and the room. We plan the carry in advance, and we ask for dimensions of the item and the tightest doorway or turn on the route.

Williamsburg, Greenpoint, DUMBO and Downtown Brooklyn have lofts and newer towers with freight elevators and dock rules, while Red Hook, Sunset Park and the Navy Yard area have studios, warehouses and showrooms with truck access of their own. We confirm the arrival window the day before and call when the crew is about 30 minutes out.
